About

Stephanie Loomis received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University in 1996, she then received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1989. After moving to Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 1990, she opened up Steamboat, Spine and Sport Physical Therapy and was the sole owner until 2018. After selling the clinic, she opened a smaller, more nurturing practice,  Loomis Restorative Physical Therapy, until her move to Port Townsend in 2021.

Her initial education had been vast and and eclectic, with much training in orthopedics from some of the best educators in the country.

Later in her career, she began to venture into vestibular and dizziness disorders, balance and geriatric issues, and yoga and rehabilitation Pilates.

In 2019, she received her 200 hour Hatha Yoga Instructor certificate, emphasizing the Shambavhava Yoga lineage, as well as her Level 1 and 2 Restorative Yoga Certificate from Yoga icon, Judith Lasater, PhD, PT.

As a student of yoga for the past twenty years, she began to venture into teaching alignment based yoga rehabilitation for recovery, as well as for educating both yoga instructors and students alike, on proper techniques with anatomically correct positioning.

These yoga programs integrate well into her physical therapy practice to holistically treat the orthopedic, vestibular, neurological and dizzy patient, as well to offer the yoga student a more thorough and anatomically correct personal practice.
